Rev. F. William "Bro. Bill" ChapmanJanuary 25, 1935 - June 09, 2020
He graduated from Chattahoochee High School (Florida) where he lettered in both football and basketball. After being called to preach, he went to FSU and earned his BS Degree. He then married the love of his life, Peggy, on June 21, 1957. From there he went to New Orleans Theological Seminary, where he received his Masters of Divinity. After graduation, he went to Pastor at Northwood Hills Baptist Church in Northport Alabama (59-63). He then went back to Florida where he was the pastor at North Palm Baptist Church (63-69) and then Northwest Baptist Church (69-78). In 1972, he was instrumental in starting Northwest Christian Academy. In 1977, he was given an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Trinity Bible College. In 1978, he felt called into full-time evangelism. He and his family moved to Sylva, North Carolina and started the Bill Chapman Evangelistic Association. After 27 years in North Carolina, he took his ministry to Jacksonville, Florida where he has been for the last 16 years. He was also involved with The Caribbean Center for the Deaf in Mandeville, Jamaica for 40 years. His ministry ended the day he met his Savior. |
