In Times Like These

Beloved:

WHAT TIMES? TIMES of GREAT INVOLVEMENT with THE WORLD, THE FLESH and THE DEVIL, TIMES of RAMPANT SINNING, TIMES of BIBLICAL IGNORANCe, TIMES of ABOUNDING COMPROMISE, TIMES of UTTER CONFUSION, TIMES of UNGODLY TOLERANCE toward SIN, TIMES of UNPRECEDENTED IMMORALITY, TIMES of UNNATURAL SEXUAL BEHAVIOR, TIMES of UNBRIDLED IMMODESTY, TIMES OF UNQUESTIONABLE REBELLION against AUTHORITY, TIMES of UNSPEAKABLE FILTH, TIMES OF UNDENIABLE HOSTILITY against TRUTH, and TIMES of UNBELIEVABLE SPIRITUAL DECAY in CHURCH LIFE.

So, is there an ANSWER to the APOSTASY RESULTING CONDITIONS listed above? With Man, NO! With GOD, YES! HOLY GOD’S ANSWER is a REVIVED CHURCH. Back in 2004, the Florida Baptist Witness (May 6, 2004 issue), in a Front Page article, stated that RICK WARREN of PURPOSE DRIVEN FAME was invited to Tallahassee “at the Invitation of a Bipartisan Coalition of House and Senate Members.” 

While there, Warren spoke with about 70 Tallahassee area Pastors. “Warren PREDICTED that America was RIPE for a New Great Awakening.” “I believe we are almost at the TIPPING POINT right NOW in our CULTURE. I think we could probably hit that Tipping Point by the end of the YEAR.” (The Year Warren was referring to was 2004.) Warren cited “the phenomenal sales of the movie THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST as well as sales of his book as evidence that America may be on the verge of a revival.”

Was Warren’s cited EVIDENCE an indication that “America may be on the verge of a revival?” ABSOLUTELY NOT!! It simply reveals that this Nation is FULL of EMPTY PEOPLE with No understanding whatsoever of THE WHOLE COUNSEL OF GOD (Acts 20:27). Warren’s “Tipping Point” seems to point toward THE CULTURE while HOLY GOD points to HIS CHURCH regarding the Matter of TRUE REVIVAL. 

NO, DEAR ONES, it will take MORE than Book Sales and Movies Seen to witness a REVIVED CHURCH. It will take a SUPERNATURAL WORK OF HOLY GOD to witness REVIVAL IN TIMES LIKE THESE. 

Now a WORD from His Word: "Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting"--Psalm 139:23-24.
