A Missionary's Prayer
Beloved: “The greatest need on the foreign field is revival at home. Our need is not financial; it is spiritual. Many sincere Christians and church leaders are not even aware of our need of revival. We are so busy with the work of our churches from week to week, performing our duties, satisfied with the status quo, and not even seeing that we are virtually powerless. We take great pride in our theological correctness, our standards of separation and our identity as fundamental, conservative Bible believers, but refuse to believe that spiritually we are Laodiceans. (Please read Revelation 3:14-22, KJV.) Somehow we have the mistaken idea that we can schedule a special emphasis any time we want to and raise the spiritual temperature of our congregation back up to an acceptable level, but it is never enough to transform the hard cases around us. It only serves to insulate our comfort zone and we sleep on. We have become artful in self-pacification. We feel that we have done all that can be done with available funds and we are probably right. We have allowed the root of all evil to divert us' ('For the love of money is the root of all evil'--I Timothy 6:10, KJV)." --LARRY AND JUDY SEXTON, MISSIONARIES TO CENTRAL AMERICA-- PLEASE, keep this in mind as someone has said: “CHANGE IS INEVITABLE; PROGRESS IS NOT!” Thank YOU for YOUR FAITHFULNESS to this Revival Ministry. I love YOU dearly in our Wonderful Lord Jesus. Now a word from His Word: “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a Righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16, KJV). |
